AXS Map is a crowd-sourced platform that allows users to rate and review the accessibility of public spaces like restaurants, transit stops, and businesses. Built to empower people living with disabilities, AXS Map fosters community engagement and drives change through data, storytelling, and events like Mapathons. It is now one of the largest accessibility databases in North America.
Recognized globally for its impact, AXS Map has been featured in The New York Times, honored by the Zero Project at the United Nations in Vienna, and included in the UN’s flagship report on Disability and Development. The platform has received support from Google Earth Outreach, the Ford Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, the Bertha Foundation, the Canada Media Fund, and the NYC Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities. AXS Map continues to grow as a tool for systemic change in accessibility and inclusion.
